Laurie read from her new poetry collection, Come Closer, at Elliott Bay Book Company on
5 April 2023 with poets Richard L. Robbins and Abigail Prout.

Laurie appeared at Celebrating the Elders / Great Pacific Northwest Poets in conjunction with the recent conference of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs here in Seattle.  This was held at the storied Blue Moon Tavern in the University District on 9 March 2023.
